Hello Lindy's Fans. Have you used Lindy's <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/moon-shadow-mist">Moon Shadow Mists</a>? They are perfect for giving papers a unique aged look with a bit of awesome Lindy's shimmer. All of the Moon Shadow's have a vintage brown base with a fabulous color shimmer. Today I will show you just a few of these awesome products as we make a mini journal with some 'aged' papers.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To begin, grab a couple of sheets of plain copy paper and spritz both sides with water. In a 'spray tray', liberally spray the Moonshadow mists of your choice to cover the back and front of both pages, I am using <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/moon-shadow-mist/products/smoky-sapphire">Smokey Sapphire</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/moon-shadow-mist/products/treasure-island-aqua">Treasure Island Aqua</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/moon-shadow-mist/products/violaceous-violet">Violaceous Violet </a>and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/moon-shadow-mist/products/buccaneer-bay-blue">Buccaneer Bay Blue</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="10(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-43104" height="426" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/101-1024x682.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have scrunched the pages as I dried them with the heat tool to give them a little more of an aged look, the scrunching also gives a bit more of an uneven surface to the paper and the shimmer catches the light more.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="61326608_2346306802318968_4368522008263131136_n" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-43109" height="459" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/61326608_2346306802318968_4368522008263131136_n-1024x735.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once fully dried i have ironed the pages flat again.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="60970480_617445502071631_8766553366722510848_n" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-43107" height="543" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/60970480_617445502071631_8766553366722510848_n-1024x870.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Take a plain cream piece of cardstock, this will be our cover. I have used an A5 sized sheet. I have cut my colored pages in half and then folded them in half again and trimmed them to be slightly smaller than my cover.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="6(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-43100" height="439" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/61-1024x703.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Next I have popped a very small amount of <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-shakers/products/autumn-maple-crimson-magical-shaker">Autumn Maple Crimson</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-shakers/products/cowabunga-copper-magical-shaker">Cowabunga Copper</a> Magical Shaker powder on to my mat and sprayed a few sprays of <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/moon-shadow-mist/products/violaceous-violet">Violaceous Violet </a> to begin activating the powder. Add a few good sprays of water to this to dilute the color a little.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="2(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-43096" height="551" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/21-1024x882.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Take a couple of book pages and randomly dip into the color leaving a little white space on the pages and dry them off.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="8(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-43102" height="518" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/81-1024x829.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Add the dried base to some card, I am using white chipboard as i love the 'tear' on the torn edge.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="4(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-43098" height="546" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/41-1024x874.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Tear around the edge of page to give an organic looking border. Spray a small amount of <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/search?q=steampunk">Steampunk Sepia</a> on to your mat and dip a baby wipe into the spray to apply to the torn edge.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="60801540_436675870445029_3210391940981850112_n" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-43106" height="518" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/60801540_436675870445029_3210391940981850112_n-1024x830.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I want to add a decoupage napkin image, so to prepare the area use a small amount of white gesso to 'block out' the area, this will allow the image to be more visible from the background as the napkin image is very transparent. Dry the gesso and then add the image. Water down the remaining gesso and add a few splashes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="9(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-43103" height="525" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/91-1024x841.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To construct the book, either sew or staple the pages inside the cover, you can really see that amazing shimmer!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="5(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-43099" height="496" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/51-1024x794.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love the vintage look with that awesome violet shimmer...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="61165811_480985299309513_890131911966457856_n" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-43108" height="562" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/61165811_480985299309513_890131911966457856_n-1024x900.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
...And this green shimmer is soooo pretty.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="7(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-43101" height="473" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/71-1024x758.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To complete the book, add a little background stamping to the front cover. Place a length of seam binding to the back of the panel and then glue the panel onto the cover. I have also added a sticker quote to finish my little 'Keepsake' journal. From brand new to 'vintage' in just a few squirts...LOL</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="3(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-43097" height="585" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/31-1024x936.jpg" width="640" /></div>

Hello Lindy's fans! Junk Journalling is massive in the crafting community and Lindy's products are perfect for all your junk journalling needs, whether you are using Lindy's to give your pages that aged look or adding some gorgeous watercolor accents, Lindy's can help with it all....including faux wax seals!! AND...the beauty of these seals is, you can make a bunch in advance and use them as you need them, they are alot more robust than a regular wax seal too. For this project you don't even need the metal wax stamps, you can use your regular stamps, or some metal gears for example and you can make them in about a billion different colors...well at least with every Lindy's embossing powder you own. You will also need a hot glue gun, so grab your favorite Lindy's <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/embossing-powder">Embossing Powders</a> and lets get started.<img alt="9(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42660" height="526" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/91-1024x842.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To begin, I have fashioned some 'wax seal stamps' from some metal gear charms using the lid from one of my Lindy's spray bottles and a piece of double sided tape and I have also added a rubber stamp in the same way to another spray bottle lid.<img alt="8320130_2852983291097645056_n" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42662" height="445" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/8320130_2852983291097645056_n-1024x713.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Heat up your hot glue gun and squeeze a small dollop of hot glue onto a piece of baking paper, it might take you a time or two to figure out how much glue you need for the size of 'stamps' you are using. Once you have the small dollop of glue on the baking paper, take your heat tool and blow it directly down on top of the glue, this will flatten the glue a little. <img alt="11(2)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42663" height="568" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/112-1024x910.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Quickly take your chosen embossing powder, I am using <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/hyacinth-blue-jade">Hyacinth Blue Jade</a> and completely cover the glue making sure you have the sides as well as the top. Shake off the excess powder and return to the jar.<img alt="12(2)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42664" height="541" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/122-1024x867.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Take your heat tool again and melt the embossing powder, make sure you are not too close to the glue.<img alt="3(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42656" height="556" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/31-1024x891.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once the embossing powder has completely melted, take your 'stamp' and gently press into the glue being mindful not to push the stamp all the way down, we just want to leave an impression. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="1(2)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42654" height="586" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/12-1-1024x938.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Leave the stamp on the glue and wait a minute or 2 before removing, this will allow the glue to start to set and the impression will remain crisp.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="6(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42658" height="544" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/61-1024x871.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After a moment, remove the stamp and you will have an awesome looking faux wax seal!! Leave the seal on the baking paper to cool completely. Once cooled you can peel of and store until you want to use it. To attach it to your envelope you can just use a small amount of hot glue on the back of the seal.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="10(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42661" height="568" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/101-1024x910.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To use the 'metal gear stamp' the procedure is exactly the same, making sure to leave the stamp inplace for a few moments before lifting from the seal...<img alt="2(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42655" height="571" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/21-1-1024x915.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
....soooo cool, This one was created with <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/midnight-ruby">Midnight Ruby</a> Embossing Powder. I cannot tell you how much I love creating these.<img alt="7(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42659" height="578" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/71-1024x925.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You can color coordinate them to ANY project... and then...<img alt="5(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42657" height="535" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/51-1024x856.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
...you can even punch a hole in them when they are cool and use them like a charm!!!!! Ahhhhh, these just make me happy!!! I hope you will have a go at making some too.<img alt="58460966_454660511970768_4149386562003533824_n" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42673" height="590" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/58460966_454660511970768_4149386562003533824_n-1024x944.jpg" width="640" /></div>

Today I am sharing a fun Easter project, you could, however, adapt this project to any shapes you like. We will use some of the Lindy's <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/glitz-spritz">Glitz Spritz</a> sprays, have you used them before? These amazing sprays are so versatile, they provide a gorgeous shimmer with out the additional color so you can spray them over anything you like, to add a fabulous shimmer!!! You can even use them in place of water for activating distress inks, which is how we will use them today. We will also be using some <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/embossing-powder">embossing powders</a>, This is a great project to use all those bright colors, so grab them all and lets get started!<br />
<br />
<img alt="11(2)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42206" height="506" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/112-1024x810.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
To begin, blend some distress ink onto the back piece of chipboard or cardstock. ( I am using Whichcraft layered chipboard eggs which have a blank back and a detailed front. If you are using your own shapes or dies, cut out a matching back layer to match your detailed layer).<br />
<br />
<img alt="2(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42197" height="406" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/21-1024x652.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Spritz the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/blazing-sun">Blazing Sun glitz spritz</a> onto the egg to activate the ink and get some gorgeous golden shimmer splashes.<br />
<br />
<img alt="3(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42198" height="555" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/31-1024x888.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
<a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/royal-peacock-fire-1">Royal peacock fire glitz spritz</a> has the most amazing green blue shimmer, I think it is my favorite...LOL<br />
<br />
<img alt="4(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42199" height="468" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/41-1024x750.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
<a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/gecko-green">Gecko Green</a> has a fabulous green shimmer. Continue to color as many backgrounds as you would like using the same simple method, don't be afraid to experiment and try new color combinations.<br />
<br />
<img alt="5(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42200" height="458" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/51-1024x733.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
For the top, or detailed layer of the eggs, I have used a couple of different methods. Firstly, take some black gesso and 'pounce' it onto the detail leaving the paint thicker in some places, this will add some texture.<br />
<br />
<img alt="7(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42202" height="498" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/71-1024x797.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Then, while the gesso is still wet, sprinkle your chosen embossing powder onto the detail. I have chosen <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/midnight-sapphire">Midnight Sapphire embossing powder</a>. Heat set the embossing powder, you will see it bubble up as the gesso dries too.<br />
<br />
<img alt="6(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42201" height="552" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/61-1024x884.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
The next method gives a two toned look to our detailed layer. Apply versamark to the detailed layer...<br />
<br />
<img alt="8(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-42203" height="566" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/81-1024x907.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
...then carefully sprinkle the embossing powder onto half of the egg, try to make the 'edge' of the embossing powder a little organic looking so you don't have a perfect line where the 2 colors meet. Shake off the excess powder back into the jar and then apply the second color of embossing powder and heat set both colors at the same time.<br />
<br />
<img alt="9(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-42204" height="527" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/91.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Repeat the above steps until you have all your pieces colored, then simply attach the detailed front's to the backs and volia, cute colorful Easter decorations or embellishments.<br />

Its Kerry with you today with an art journal page. Using some of the NEW and totally AMAZING <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/squirts">Squirts</a> - did I mention they are AMAZING?? I have also used some flat fabio <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/sprays">Sprays</a>. Lets get started!<br />
<br />
<img alt="8(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-41694" height="390" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/81.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
To begin, spritz a piece of watercolor paper liberally with water, then spray <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/summer-lovin-sun">Summer Lovin' Sun</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/tears-on-my-pillow-tangerine">Tears on my pillow tangerine</a> randomly on the card and let the colors mingle and then dry off.<br />
<br />
<img alt="1(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-41688" height="622" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/11-1.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Take another piece of watercolor paper and the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/banff-blue">Banff Blue</a> squirts. Squeeze a small amount of the color onto an acrylic block and then using a lid from one of the sprays and the empty roll from inside a roll of tape 'stamp' some circles onto the paper. The squirts are super intense and you only need a small amount.<br />
<br />
<br />
<img alt="2(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-41689" height="562" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/21.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Repeat the process with the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/loonie-toonie-teal">Loonie Toonie Teal</a> squirts and then spritz the 'stamped' images with water and allow the color to bleed out, and then dry off.<br />
<br />
<img alt="3(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-41690" height="515" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/31.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Using a stencil and some black Archival ink, add some additional marks to the background and set aside.<br />
<br />
<img alt="4(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-41691" height="584" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/41.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Take the original piece of colored watercolor paper and add some stamping for interest.<br />
<br />
<img alt="5(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-41692" height="539" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/51.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Take some circle punches and punch out some circles from the paper in random sizes and ink around the edges to give the circles a defined edge.<br />
<br />
<img alt="6(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-41698" height="522" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/61.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Arrange the circles on the page as you like them and then add a focal point, I have chosen a Tim Holtz paper doll but any image can be used as a focal point on a page like this.<br />
<br />
<img alt="7(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-41693" height="467" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/71.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Before adhering the circles I have added a few circle stamps to the background.<br />
<br />
<img alt="10(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-41695" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/101.jpg" width="602" /><br />
<br />
To finish off, adhere the circles to the background, Pop a small piece of cheesecloth underneath the main focal point add a quote and some white splashes of ink. Use a fine liner to add a scribbly border and mount onto some black card, all done!!<br />
<br />
<img alt="11(2)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-41696" height="447" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/112.jpg" width="640" /><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hello Lindy's fans!! It's Kerry with you today. I have always loved Vintage style and mini books and journals are also on my 'favorites' list, so today's project features both of those things rolled in to one super cute project. If vintage isn't your thing, you can still make this little book in any style you like. Grab some of your favorite Lindy's <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/sprays">sprays</a> or <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-powders">magicals</a>, today I am using <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/cape-cod-coral">Cape Coral Cod</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/steampunk-sepia">Steampunk Sepia</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/sandra-dee-sepia">Sandra Dee Sepia</a> and a couple of sheets of standard copy paper, and lets get started.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="26" class=" size-full wp-image-41129 aligncenter" height="509" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/26.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To begin, grab a sheet of regular copy paper, spritz with water and then add your color. I have sprayed <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/cape-cod-coral">Cape Coral Cod</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/steampunk-sepia">Steampunk Sepia</a> to give me a lovely vintage background. Lay a second sheet of dampened copy paper over the top, let it sit for a moment to transfer some of the gorgeous spray, then gently separate the two pages and dry off. Repeat this method on the back side of the paper, so you have color to both sides of the sheet.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Lindys 1" class=" size-full wp-image-41115 aligncenter" height="473" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Lindys-1.png" width="640" /> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once you have your sheet colored on both sides and dry, you will need to fold the sheet into 8 even panels as shown below. Then take a craft knife and cut along the crease right in the middle of the page. Fold the page in half again with the cut section facing upward, when you push the ends of the paper toward each other, you should see a cross or 'x' shape. Push all the pages around in the same direction to create a mini book.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Lindys 2" class=" size-full wp-image-41116 aligncenter" height="437" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Lindys-2.png" width="640" /> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You should end up with something like this...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Lindys 3" class=" size-full wp-image-41117 aligncenter" height="410" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Lindys-3.png" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Our book now has four pages, each page is actually made up of two pages, these will make our pockets. Two pages will be open on the sides, they will be our side loading pockets so we need to place a small piece of double sided tape along the bottom edge. The other two pages will be our top loading pockets, so we need to seal the bottom edge in the same fashion. I know it sounds a bit tricky but it will make sense when you see it in your hand....</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Lindys 4" class=" size-full wp-image-41118 aligncenter" height="243" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Lindys-4.png" width="640" /> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
PHEW all the hard parts are done now.... time for the fun part. Using a stamp add some interest to the background of each of your pages and ink around the edge of each page.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Lindys 5" class=" size-full wp-image-41119 aligncenter" height="243" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Lindys-5.png" width="640" /> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Take some scrappy bits of lace, cheesecloth, ribbon or fabric and pop them in a small cello bag and add a few sprays of the colors you have used in the background. I have also added a small amount of <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/sandra-dee-sepia">Sandra Dee Sepia</a> spray to give me a little more depth. I love how the different fabrics all take on the color a little differently, such great variation from the same beautiful colors. Dry off your textile pieces and set aside.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Lindys 6" class=" size-full wp-image-41120 aligncenter" height="243" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Lindys-6.png" width="640" /> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For additional texture, I have sprayed some texture tape with <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/cape-cod-coral">Cape Coral Cod</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/sandra-dee-sepia">Sandra Dee Sepia</a>. For our inserts, take the second piece of copy paper and trim four pieces. These will need to be a little smaller than each book page to be able to fit into the pocket. I have backed mine on to some left over card and packaging to make them a little more sturdy. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Lindys 7" class=" size-full wp-image-41121 aligncenter" height="243" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Lindys-7.png" width="640" /> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Using the same method from above, apply some background stamping and ink around the edge of each page, pop a small piece of cheesecloth under each tab and a sentiment or another simple element to finish off.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Lindys 8" class=" size-full wp-image-41122 aligncenter" height="451" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Lindys-8.png" width="591" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Decorate the front cover by layering some of our colored fabric, add some chipboard or a die cut and a small image for a focal point.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Lindys 10" class=" size-full wp-image-41124 aligncenter" height="461" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Lindys-10.png" width="591" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Add a similar cluster on each page to decorate the book.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Lindys 11" class=" size-full wp-image-41125 aligncenter" height="423" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Lindys-11.png" width="590" /> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Lindys 12" class=" size-full wp-image-41126 aligncenter" height="430" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Lindys-12.png" width="590" /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And there we go, such a cute little book, complete with pockets and inserts :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

Happy New Year to you all! Today I am sharing a Butterfly canvas using Lindy's fabulous <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-shakers">Magical Shakers</a> to create my background and some gorgeous <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/embossing-powder">embossing powder</a> to give my chipboard a lovely textured shimmery finish. Lets get started!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="12(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40850" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/121-877x1024.jpg" width="547" /></div>
<br />
To start, apply some texture paste horizontally and vertically to the canvas, I have left the upper left space empty as this is where my focal point will be and then added the paste more sparingly toward the edges.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="1(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40840" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/11-885x1024.jpg" width="553" /> </div>
<br />
Before allowing the paste to dry, add some chipboard to the canvas using a matte gel medium and then leave to dry.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="2" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40841" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/2-1-866x1024.jpg" width="541" /></div>
<br />
Using archival ink and stamps, add some more interest to the background....<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="3" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40842" height="490" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/3-2-1024x784.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
...and then give everything a good coat of white gesso and dry throughly.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="4" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40843" height="493" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/4-1-1024x790.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
Now grab some magical shakers, I wasnt sure which colors I would use, so I grabbed a few...LOL<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="5" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40844" height="546" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/5-1024x875.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
To begin, mix some <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/guten-tag-teal">Guten Tag Teal</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/bavarian-blue">Bavarian Blue</a> with some water in a palette and using a brush add the color to the canvas. I also added some <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/autumn-maple-crimson-magical-shaker">Autumn Maple Crimson</a> which gave me a lovely purple. Allow this to dry completely.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="6" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40845" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/6-1-910x1024.jpg" width="568" /></div>
<br />
Add some metallic gilding paste to the chipboard in copper and blue....<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="7" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-40846" height="436" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/7-1.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
...I felt my background was a little light, so I added some <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/time-travel-teal-magical-shaker">Time travel Teal</a> for added depth.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="9" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40848" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/9-870x1024.jpg" width="543" /></div>
<br />
Once this is dry, splash some black ink onto the canvas.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="10" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40849" height="1024" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/10-845x1024.jpg" width="845" /></div>
<br />
To give the focal point some texture, paint the chipboard with black paint, whilst the paint is still wet, add some <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/morning-glory-azure">Morning Glory Azure</a> embossing powder, when drying with the heat tool, the paint will bubble and give additional texture whilst melting the embossing powder<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="8" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40847" height="460" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/8-1-1024x737.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
To finish off, layer with flowers, gems and a few old rusted items. I have used a gorgeous chipboard butterfly pin from my stash as the focal point and a smattering of microbeads for extra detail.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="12(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40850" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/121-877x1024.jpg" width="548" /></div>

A Happy New Year to you all!! And a happy new obsession for me... Batik! I love it, the patterns, the colors, designs, I just cant get enough. The fabric that comes from Indonesia is AMAZING and has totally inspired today's project. I have to send a big shout out to my Mum, Anne, who showed me this fabulous technique, and I am sure you will love it just as much as me. For this project you will need 3 of your favorite sprays, I have chosen <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/urban-amethyst">Urban Amethyst</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/hydrangea-blue">Hydrangea Blue</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/drop-dead-gorgeous-green-embossing-powder">Drop Dead Gorgeous Green</a> and some <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/purely-white">purely white</a> embossing powder.<br />
<br />
<img alt="14" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40531" height="471" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/14-1024x754.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
To begin, take your sprays and some plain white single ply napkins.<br />
<br />
<img alt="1(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40519" height="530" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/11-1024x848.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Leave the napkin folded into quarters and spritz moderately with water on both sides, you may see the napkin warp with the water.<br />
<br />
<img alt="2" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40520" height="601" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/2-1024x963.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Next, add your sprays to the napkin, if you choose colors that are next to each other on the color wheel, they will blend nicely to give you additional colors. Blue will work with purple or green so iI have no problems there, however I have been more careful with the green and purple, as these will make brown if they mix.<br />
<br />
<img alt="4" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40521" height="499" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/4-1024x799.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Spritz the now colored napkin with more water, you can be quite liberal. Place a new napkin ontop of the colored napkin.<br />
<br />
<img alt="5" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40522" height="611" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/5-1024x979.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Use your hand to help the color seep into the top napkin<br />
<br />
<img alt="6" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40523" height="601" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/6-1024x963.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Keep gently pressing with your fingers until all of the top napkin is colored too.<br />
<br />
<img alt="7" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40524" height="607" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/7-1024x972.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
After you have absorbed the color into the additional napkins you should now have napkins that look something like this. Take your heat gun and gently dry the napkins, turning the napkin will help dry all the layers.<br />
<br />
<img alt="8" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40525" height="507" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/8-1024x812.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Once your napkin is reasonably dry... flick large droplets of water back onto the napkin, I know, I know, you just dried it, but this will give some awesome effects, and then dry off again.<br />
<br />
<img alt="9" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40526" height="598" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/9-1024x958.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Now that our napkin is all dry we can open it up to see the difference in the layers, the bottom left corner in the image below was our top layer that had the sprays directly sprayed onto them, you can see the shimmer sitting on the surface. The bottom right image was the back of the napkin, that had some water drips directly to it. The two top sections of the napkin in the picture have a more ethereal look as these were in the middle of our folded napkin.<br />
<br />
<img alt="10" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40527" height="503" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/10-1024x806.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Much like tissue paper, the napkin is very thin and fragile. To make it more durable, use a glue stick and apply the glue directly to a piece of cardstock, then lay the napkin over the top to adhere it to the card. You can now use it as a card base or die cut it for example.<br />
<br />
<img alt="11(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40528" height="561" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/111-1024x898.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
These beautiful backgrounds are perfect as they are, but here is a couple of examples of what you can do with them. Take an Art Foamie stamp and add some white paint to the stamp.<br />
<br />
<img alt="12(1)" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40529" height="522" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/121-1024x836.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Stamp the paint onto the Batik background and then sprinkle Purely White embossing powder onto the wet paint and heat set, this will make the white image nice and bright white and also add a little more texture.<br />
<br />
<img alt="13" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40530" height="566" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/13-1024x907.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Cut out the stamped image and layer with a heart for a simple card.<br />
<br />
<img alt="15" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40532" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/15-782x1024.jpg" width="488" /><br />
<br />
For the second card, simply cut a strip of the background and adhere it to one side of the card base, add some stamping, a few splashes and some coordinating flowers. Easy Peasy!<br />
<br />
<img alt="16" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-40533" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/16-844x1024.jpg" width="527" /><br />

As the end of the year rapidly approaches its time to think about the festive season. If you like to celebrate and share gifts at this time, this is a fabulous way to create some one of a kind inexpensive gifts to give to friends and loved ones. All you need are your favorite Lindy's <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/sprays">Sprays</a> or <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-powders">Magicals</a>, some copy paper, some rings to bind your journal (or twine if you don't have rings), punches or dies and stamps (if you have them) and some glue!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="18(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39624" height="569" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/181.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
To begin, choose some color, any colors will work. Today I am using these fabulous colors: <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/poinciana-red-flame"> Poinciana Red Flame</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/summer-lovin-sun">Summer Lovin' Sun</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/shabby-turbine-teal">Shabby Turbine Teal</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/azure-sea-asters">Azure Sea Asters</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/sweet-violet-purple-teal">Sweet Violet Purple Teal</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/pretty-in-pink-pink">Pretty In Pink Pink</a>.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="1(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39611" height="422" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/11.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
For this project, I am using a cardboard box as a 'spray booth' I am spraying quite a bit and want to contain my overspray (also I am LAZY, and this way there is no clean up :p ). Pop a piece of copy paper in the box, add a good misting of water, then apply your chosen sprays. If you want to add 2 or more sprays to a page, make sure that they are colors that work well together, if you use colors that are next to each other on the color wheel, you cant go wrong!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="2" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39630" height="457" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/2.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
Mist another piece of copy paper well with water and apply the 2 wet sides of paper together.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="3" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39612" height="452" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/3.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
Let them sit for a few seconds then gently peel the paper apart.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="4" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39613" height="450" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/4.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
The top layer will be a muted version of the bottom sheet and you get to use all the color you have sprayed.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="5" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39614" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/5.jpg" width="522" /></div>
<br />
Repeat this process using different colors to build a stash of colored pages. Now is the perfect opportunity to experiment with colors to see what combinations you like.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="6" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39631" height="418" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/6.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
Decide what size you would like your pages to be and cut your papers accordingly, I have cut my A4 page in to 3 pieces. Each piece will need to be folded in half to create the front and back of your book pages,<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="7" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39615" height="526" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/7.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
I have selected 2 pieces to be my front and back cover and I am adhering a piece of cardstock inside the folded page to make the covers a little more rigid. Also keep aside one of each page to use for embellishing the pages.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="20181023_202819" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39632" height="360" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/20181023_202819.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
Then you simply need to glue the inside of each folded page together.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="9" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39616" height="525" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/9.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
Knock all of the pages together and use a bulldog clip to hold them and trim off the uneven edges (you may prefer to keep them uneven for added interest). Keep these strips aside too.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="10" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39617" height="437" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/10.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
Punch some holes for your rings or twine.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="11(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39618" height="389" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/111.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
To embellish your pages you may want to use punches, stamps, dies, doodling, washi tape.... pretty much anything you like. I dragged out the punches and blew off the dust (they haven't been used in a while). I also added a few pages of black cardstock to my page stash.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="12(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39619" height="482" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/121.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
Here is an example for a simple embellishment, punch the shape from one page, and adhere the punched shape to another page. The black page can bee seen through the punched shape, easy as!!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="14" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39620" height="581" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/14.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
Use the strips and some stamps to add more interest, add washi tape too for something different.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="15" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39621" height="536" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/15.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
Soon you will have a huge stash of pages. you can make smaller books with fewer pages, or chunky books with loads of pages!!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="16" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39622" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/16.jpg" width="638" /></div>
<br />
To embellish the cover I have used some of the strips from our page edges and a 'punched' butterfly (he was not injured in the making of this book) ...hehe. Some fibres and paper beads added to one of the rings and some chipboard accents finished it all off!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="20" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39626" height="432" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/20.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
Here is a peek inside...<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="21" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39627" height="360" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/21.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
The black pages really make the other pages POP.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="22" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39628" height="360" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/22.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
So easy. These little books are also a fab way to use up your 'mop up pages'.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="23" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39629" height="382" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/23.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
I hope you feel inspired to create a mini journal or two :)<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="18" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39625" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/18.jpg" width="609" /></div>

<img alt="10" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39233" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/10.jpg" width="634" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have started by selecting some Whichcraft chipboard Artist Trading Coins and the amazing Halloween starburst sprays in <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/witchs-potion-purple">Witch's Potion Purple</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/hags-wart-orange">Hag's Wart Orange</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/freaky-franken-lime">Freaky Franken Lime</a>. You can also get all of these colors, plus 2 more in the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/haunted-halloween-shimmer-set">Haunted Halloween set</a>.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Spray your chosen pieces liberally to fully cover the chipboard in color. To help the colors pop, color the second layer in black.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="2" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39228" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/2.jpg" width="595" /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To finish off, add a little doodling with a white gel pen and sprinkle a few microbeads in a contrasting color for additional texture. So quick!!!</div>

You may want to get your hands on some treasure of your own such as Lindys <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/moon-shadow-mist">Moonshadow Mists </a>or <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/embossing-powder">Embossing Powder</a> which is what you will need for this project :) I recently shared some tags that I had created. I had so many people ask for a tutorial, so I thought I would share the technique here.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="12(1).jpg" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-38921" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/121.jpg" width="532" /></div>
<br />
To begin, I have taken some Whichcraft chipboard tags and used some texture paste to add texture to the surface, it really doesn't matter what type of paste as most of it will be covered up.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="1(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-38911" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/11.jpg" width="579" /></div>
<br />
Next, I have applied some copper colored paste to the detailed part of the tag in a very thick and textured fashion. If you don't have copper paste, just use any texture paste and paint it with some metallic paint.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="3" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-38913" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/3-1.jpg" width="628" /></div>
<br />
While the paste is still wet, sprinkle Lindy's embossing powder in <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/embossing-powder/products/midnight-bronze-obsidian?variant=689761648656">Midnight Bronze</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/embossing-powder/products/midnight-teal?variant=689761419280">Midnight Teal</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/embossing-powder/products/midnight-copper-obsidian?variant=689761615888">Midnight copper</a> randomly on top of the wet paste and leave a few areas without any embossing powder. Use the heat tool to dry the paste and activate the Embossing powder. This will bubble and give some great 'rusty' looking texture.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="2" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-38912" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/2-1.jpg" width="544" /></div>
<br />
Next, paint the rest of the tag with some blue paint, then add a little more copper paste (or paint) around the outside edge of the tag.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="10" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-38919" height="462" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/10.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
Now this is where the magic happens, generously spray the entire tag with MoonShadow Mist in <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/moon-shadow-mist/products/buccaneer-bay-blue?variant=689764106256">Tawny Turquoise</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/moon-shadow-mist/products/buccaneer-bay-blue?variant=689764106256">Buccaneer Bay Blue</a> and dry off.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="8" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-38918" height="453" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/8-1.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
Look at all that shimmer...<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="7" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-38917" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/7-1.jpg" width="423" /></div>
<br />
Use black archival ink to darken the edges of the tags.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="6" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-38916" height="414" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/6-1.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
To finish the tags off I have layered some 'treasure map' paper underneath and on top of the tag. Embellish the tags with art stones and glass beads, metal charms and a little mesh ribbon and add some ribbon or fibres to the top of the tag....<br />
ARRRRrrrggg.... we be done!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="5" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-38915" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/5-1.jpg" width="611" /></div>

Its Kerry with you sharing an 'Under the Sea' inspired tag. For this project I have used a selection of my favorite Lindy's <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/sprays">Sprays</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/embossing-powder">Embossing Powders</a> to add both gorgeous color and awesome texture to the project.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="10" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37903" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/10.jpg" width="627" /></div>
<br />
To start, take some of the gorgeous Lindy's sprays in 'sea' colors, I have chosen <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/clam-bake-beige?variant=689758928912">Clam Bake Beige</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/green-with-envy-green?variant=689759322128">Green with envy Green</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/tiffanylou-blue?variant=689759879184">TiffanyLou Blue</a>. You will also need some white cardstock.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="2" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37895" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/2-1.jpg" width="601" /></div>
<br />
Spray the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/tiffanylou-blue?variant=689759879184">TiffanyLou Blue</a> over most of the card and use the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/clam-bake-beige?variant=689758928912">Clam Bake Beige</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/green-with-envy-green?variant=689759322128">Green with envy Green</a> more sparingly toward the bottom and side of the card.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="3" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37896" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/3-1.jpg" width="486" /></div>
<br />
Add some gesso and Washi to the background for added texture and dry off.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="4" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37897" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/4-1.jpg" width="388" /></div>
<br />
Using <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/clam-bake-beige?variant=689758928912">Clam Bake Beige</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/green-with-envy-green?variant=689759322128">Green with envy Green</a> sprays, color the whichcraft chipboard elements... LOOK at the fabulous shimmer!!!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="5" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37898" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/5-1.jpg" width="553" /></div>
<br />
To add some more texture to the chipboard, randomly apply some 3D gel medium to the pieces, sprinkle Lindy's Embossing Powder in <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/oakleaf-olive?variant=689761157136">Oakleaf Olive</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/sunrise-salmon-gold?variant=689760206864">Sunrise Salmon Gold</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/morning-glory-azure?variant=689761288208">Morning Glory Azure</a> into the wet gel medium and then dry with the heat tool, the gel medium will bubble and you end up with awesome texture!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="6" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37899" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/6-1.jpg" width="524" /></div>
<br />
Spray some lace 'Netting' with water and add the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/tiffanylou-blue?variant=689759879184">TiffanyLou Blue</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/green-with-envy-green?variant=689759322128">Green with envy Green</a> sprays, (the water will allow the colors to be a little softer), and dry off.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="7" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37900" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/7-1.jpg" width="528" /></div>
<br />
Add some additional sea themed embellishments and layer all the pieces onto the card, use 3D foam to add dimension to the project.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="8" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37901" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/8-1.jpg" width="511" /></div>
<br />
To finish off, add some pearls and art stones, splash the stones with a little of the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/clam-bake-beige?variant=689758928912">Clam Bake Beige</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/green-with-envy-green?variant=689759322128">Green with envy Green</a> to blend them into the background. I have also added some metallic gilding paste to the raised areas to help bring out the texture.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="1(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37894" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/11-1.jpg" width="600" /></div>
<br />
Sigh.... look at all that yummy shimmering texture.....so gorgeous!<br />
<br />

I have a journal page to share with you today. I had such a lovely time just playing in my journal, with no plan or idea what I was going to create, it was so peaceful and enjoyable and this 'tranquil' page is what I ended up with. I used just 3 of the fabulous <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/starburst-shimmer-sprays">Lindy's Starburst Sprays</a> to add all this color to my page.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="8" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37827" height="457" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/8.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
To begin, I spritzed some water on my pages. I lightly sprayed the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/bling-y-blonde?variant=689753587728">Bling-y Blonde</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/pretty-in-pink-pink?variant=689759485968">Pretty in Pink Pink</a> sprays and then added more water and moved the page around to blend the colors a little. I mopped up some of the water with a paper towel and then added a few splashes of each color to intensify the color in some spots and dried off with a heat tool.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="1(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37820" height="635" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/11.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I added a little random text stamping using black archival ink.<img alt="2" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37821" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/2.jpg" width="558" /></div>
<br />
Next, using a paint brush, I applied some gesso to help soften the background.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="3" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37822" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/3.jpg" width="555" /></div>
<br />
I selected a couple of washi tapes with similar colors to add to my page, this gave me some additional texture and makes the background more interesting to look at. I added a little more gesso over the tape with a palette knife to give the page a more cohesive look and dried off thoroughly.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="4" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37823" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/4.jpg" width="558" /></div>
<br />
Using archival ink and some stamps, I have added a border and some circles.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="5" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37824" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/5.jpg" width="620" /></div>
<br />
I added my embellishments, a gorgeous lotus die cut and some dew drops. Some gesso was applied to the circles to help them pop up from the background. Using the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/shabby-turbine-teal?variant=689756897296">Shabby turbine teal</a> spray a few light splashes were added to the page above the lotus. I applied some shading to the underside of the lotus with a black stabilo all pencil and then using the Shabby Turbine Teal spray and a paint brush, I painted the 'water' for the lotus to sit on.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="6" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37825" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/6.jpg" width="598" /></div>
<br />
A 'Whichcraft' chipboard title, some black archival ink around the edges and a few black splatters finished the page off.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="7" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37826" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/7.jpg" width="629" /></div>
<br />
Lindy's Products: <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/shabby-turbine-teal?variant=689756897296">Shabby turbine teal</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/bling-y-blonde?variant=689753587728">Bling-y Blonde</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/pretty-in-pink-pink?variant=689759485968">Pretty in Pink Pink</a> sprays.<br />
Other Products: Die Cut lotus, Whichcraft chipboard, archival ink, gesso, acrylic dew drops, stabilo all pencil, stamps<br />

<br />
<br />
Hello Lindy's Tribe! Have you ever wished you could walk through a magic door into a fantasy world where washing dishes and doing laundry are done with the snap of your fingers? Me too, so I thought if I created a 'Magical' Door Knocker, all I would need to do it find the right door to knock on.... right? The key.... (pun totally intended) to the 'Magical' Door Knocker is, of course, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-powders">MAGICALS</a>!!!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/20180613_150011.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="20180613_150011" border="0" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37593" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/20180613_150011.jpg" width="376" /></a></div>
To begin, I found an interesting piece of old wood in the garden and gave it 3 good coats of gesso and let it dry thoroughly.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/20180610_1558511.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="20180610_155851(1)" border="0" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37584" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/20180610_1558511.jpg" width="540" /></a></div>
Next you will need to choose your magicals, I have used <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-shakers">Magical Shakers</a> but you can use the original <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-sets">Magicals</a> too!<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="20180610_181138" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37585" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/20180610_181138.jpg" width="483" /></div>
Using a small palette, pop a small amount of the magical powder into one of the wells, remember they are potent and you only need a small amount! On the craft mat, I have a small amount of matt gel medium and water. I use both the water and the gel medium to activate my magicals and apply randomly to the wood in washes, I start with a light hand and build up the color and allow the colors to meet and blend to create a new color.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="20180610_190407" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37586" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/20180610_190407.jpg" width="530" /></div>
I have used <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/time-travel-teal-magical-shaker?variant=541565779984">Time Travel Teal</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/autumn-maple-crimson-magical-shaker?variant=541545529360">Autumn Maple Crimson</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-shakers/products/california-poppy-magical-shaker?variant=541559193616">California Poppy</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-shakers/products/magnolia-magenta-gold-magical-shaker?variant=541575053328">Magnolia Magenta Gold</a> Magical Shakers.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="20180610_200434(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37587" height="437" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/20180610_2004341.jpg" width="640" /></div>
You can see that by allowing the colors to blend you create additional colors.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="20180610_200826" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37588" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/20180610_200826.jpg" width="215" /></div>
Once dry, use a little metallic gilding paste to bring out the texture.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

Finally, add your Knocker and embellish with some microbeads<br />

<img alt="20180610_213135" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37590" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/20180610_213135.jpg" width="621" /></div>
So many beautiful color variations from just a few little pots of magical powder...<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="20180610_213156" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37591" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/20180610_213156.jpg" width="360" /></div>
...magicals really are... well, ... Magical!<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="20180610_213201" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37592" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/20180610_213201.jpg" width="472" /></div>
Now all I need is to find the door that my Magical Door Knocker will open.... ;)<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="20180613_150011" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37593" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/20180613_150011.jpg" width="376" /></div>

Hello Lindy's fans! It's Kerry with you. I have a journal page for you today, but you could adapt it to be a card, tag or even a scrap layout. I have been playing with the AWESOME <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-shakers">Magical Shakers</a>!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="5" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-34908" height="421" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/5.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To start, I have added some Distress micro glaze through a stencil to some un-primed canvas stickers, this will give me a bit of a variance in color, it wont resist entirely as the canvas isn't primed, so the color can seep in from the sides.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="1" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-34904" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/1-2.jpg" width="527" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Make up some 'watercolor's' in a palette using the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-shakers/products/autumn-maple-crimson-magical-shaker?variant=541545529360">Autumn Maple Crimson</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-shakers/products/cowabunga-copper-magical-shaker?variant=541549854736">Cowabunga Copper</a> Magical Shakers and apply generously to the stickers, then use a paper towel to absorb the color back up by pressing on the sticker.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="2" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-34905" height="535" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/2-2.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On a piece of watercolor paper, add a heavy misting of water and then let the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-shakers/products/guten-tag-teal?variant=38552171792">Guten Tag Teal</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-shakers/products/grab-a-guy-gold-magical-shaker?variant=541554114576">Grab a Guy Gold</a> shakers mix on the surface, dry off and then add some splashes of the same colors.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="3" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-34906" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/3-1.jpg" width="541" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Add some modelling paste through a Whichcraft stencil.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="4" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-34907" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/4-2.jpg" width="566" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To complete the project add some circle stamps using black archival ink and a scribbly border to the edge. Add some black and white details to the canvas stickers and adhere them with 3D foam for added dimension. A quote sticker and some bling finishes it off :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

Hello! Its Kerry with you today. Some of you might remember a picture I shared at the end of last year showing a bunch of paper clay embellishments, well bust out the Paper Clay and your <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-sets">Magicals</a>, today we will make some together that you can add to almost any project.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
To begin, take a small amount of paper clay and add a small amount of any of your favorite magical powders, you can use either the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-shakers">Magical shakers</a> or the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-sets">Original Magicals</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="2" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36446" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/2-1.jpg" width="621" /></div>
<br />
Fold the clay over itself to contain the powder inside the clay and begin to knead, you will see the color start to appear through the clay. You can leave it like this for some cool marbled effects or...<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="3" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36447" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/3-1.jpg" width="518" /></div>
<br />
...continue to knead until the color is blended through.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="4" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36448" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/4-1.jpg" width="636" /></div>
<br />
I have selected a couple of silicone molds and dusted them with a little cornflour (this will help with releasing the clay from the mold). Press the clay into the mold. Gently manipulate the mold to pop out the clay piece.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="5" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36449" height="583" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/5-1.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
You can even stamp onto your colored clay. Color the clay as above and then flatten out your clay, I popped my clay between 2 pieces of bake paper and pressed down with a book. Select some stamps and archival ink and stamp carefully onto the still soft clay.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="6" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36450" height="543" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/6.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<br />
Once your clay is dry you will have some beautiful embellishments to add to your future projects :)<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="7" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36451" height="618" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/7-1.jpg" width="640" /> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/8-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="8" border="0" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36452" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/8-1.jpg" width="571" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<br />
Hello creative people! Welcome to my blog for those of you who are new, and thanks for taking a peek. I have had so much fun playing with the <a href="https://www.stencilgirlproducts.com/" target="_blank">Stencil Girl</a> Stencils and of course, my favorite <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/" target="_blank">Lindy's</a> products! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I played and played and ended up with so many beautiful pages so I decided to make a journal! I have used heaps of Lindy's products for this project, I just kept grabbing my <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/sprays" target="_blank">sprays</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-powders" target="_blank">magicals</a>, and making page after page after page, but you can use as little as 2 colors if you prefer. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglY5Ta-eZiszkPUjEHjf3syPkAZp7yZ_G1fRJ9U95piy0sevP1gNQnTPBU-ZP-7K9wFBn5ogEFp4S_nHRAg_1osVBjz1SRWfhib9I7Wwpkjm-QEa0EgMO_H-G4tZbFK-ANOXbcfyyCYEM/s1600/17.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1160" data-original-width="1600" height="462" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglY5Ta-eZiszkPUjEHjf3syPkAZp7yZ_G1fRJ9U95piy0sevP1gNQnTPBU-ZP-7K9wFBn5ogEFp4S_nHRAg_1osVBjz1SRWfhib9I7Wwpkjm-QEa0EgMO_H-G4tZbFK-ANOXbcfyyCYEM/s640/17.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To start, grab your gelli plate, some white gesso, your favorite Lindy's sprays and magicals and some of the awesome Stencil Girl stencils. Today I am using <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-shakers" target="_blank">Magical Shakers</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/flat-fabio-sprays" target="_blank">Flat Fabio</a> Sprays and <a href="http://www.stencilgirlproducts.com/stencil-Border-Circles-Michelle-Ward-p/l003.htm" target="_blank">Border Circles stencil</a>, <a href="http://www.stencilgirlproducts.com/product-p/l016.htm" target="_blank">Circle 9 Stencil</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-0NkqaxJ_aYJ4pbR4fGfhVxlshKN8DYYLMnXmp910Vc7w6xTJhSeOdTphVKCGvoPBVFpgwPjhPTkn6S7nU3wK6mJzW2rCbFupcDSe9VUB2kv3-wS_BwdMJRHdttXwOEtLy_XaWqhyphenhyphen7s8/s1600/5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="965" data-original-width="1600" height="386" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-0NkqaxJ_aYJ4pbR4fGfhVxlshKN8DYYLMnXmp910Vc7w6xTJhSeOdTphVKCGvoPBVFpgwPjhPTkn6S7nU3wK6mJzW2rCbFupcDSe9VUB2kv3-wS_BwdMJRHdttXwOEtLy_XaWqhyphenhyphen7s8/s640/5.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To begin printing, add some gesso to the gelli plate and then add your color, either spray or magical ...or both :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVrSH39z5K-4PCHN6IuBkDg8oNjqmtVXdgEF12-5xQaiwtYLOn8cN93ucifzKCSep4XkJ7BjfsuMuyHsG4N3ER1_2ObGVxlpaVCzcpiars3pEXnR9uzH5dUrK3FaPffT99XAs3_66j1Fc/s1600/28.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVrSH39z5K-4PCHN6IuBkDg8oNjqmtVXdgEF12-5xQaiwtYLOn8cN93ucifzKCSep4XkJ7BjfsuMuyHsG4N3ER1_2ObGVxlpaVCzcpiars3pEXnR9uzH5dUrK3FaPffT99XAs3_66j1Fc/s640/28.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Use a brayer to roll out the gesso and cover the gelli plate in a thin even layer.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPxp5H47aomoHJh8eJkVUMWOq2SwFNX3gUJLfvawKW6hWOmM3ssmqOqGc_MLFeX5m9LHELmjrGetOrAX6Ukw_80R7NIWKteBUyzu1mChmriS-nRvQ4b7DCt_dTV6r4Qcm0sSFuF5cgxU4/s1600/27.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1131" data-original-width="1600" height="452" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPxp5H47aomoHJh8eJkVUMWOq2SwFNX3gUJLfvawKW6hWOmM3ssmqOqGc_MLFeX5m9LHELmjrGetOrAX6Ukw_80R7NIWKteBUyzu1mChmriS-nRvQ4b7DCt_dTV6r4Qcm0sSFuF5cgxU4/s640/27.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Cover the plate with a piece of paper and smooth over the plate with your hands, for this project I have used regular 80gsm printer paper, and then carefully remove the paper from the plate, this will give you a solid background color on your paper.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You can even mist the plate with Lindy's sprays and then apply the paper directly over the misted surface, pull the print and have another background paper ready to go. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjECfmi0gWvGOVfWCH0lpgQOlU3UM99s8jHIvdnWYCbbjIdi1a3vAkWLyP1h_FK0LOXql1b68w6d-Td38xVvb2FjgVbkGiGZQ7TQoLgdlxNbjj3HpmCq1z1Nro4gRGyVF6GwtGIsme5Pu8/s1600/26.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1004" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjECfmi0gWvGOVfWCH0lpgQOlU3UM99s8jHIvdnWYCbbjIdi1a3vAkWLyP1h_FK0LOXql1b68w6d-Td38xVvb2FjgVbkGiGZQ7TQoLgdlxNbjj3HpmCq1z1Nro4gRGyVF6GwtGIsme5Pu8/s640/26.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Use the gesso and a magical shaker on the plate to get a more varied color.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjondVTJp4LPlogi5XMdH-x45g6VcwNuYQqcjeK2vtD7MQVp2HD7yYf9vkpLgZ62CZ_Iyei0SFSnMiH5kNgAA9uGYQogbd3stYUvF7q4YLK4NJMYitpWTEbwoyaFwC2QUI3sBI8FKeQxTU/s1600/21.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1145" data-original-width="1600" height="458" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjondVTJp4LPlogi5XMdH-x45g6VcwNuYQqcjeK2vtD7MQVp2HD7yYf9vkpLgZ62CZ_Iyei0SFSnMiH5kNgAA9uGYQogbd3stYUvF7q4YLK4NJMYitpWTEbwoyaFwC2QUI3sBI8FKeQxTU/s640/21.jpg" width="640" /> </a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once we have some background colors on our pages...</div>

...its time to bring in our stencils, You can add the stencil directly over the top of the prepared gelli plate. Place a sheet of paper ontop of the stencil and smooth over the paper with your hands. Pull up the paper to reveal the pattern left from the stencil....cool huh?!!</div>

For me, this process went on for a few hours, adding color, pulling a print, adding a stencil, pulling a print, more color, add a stencil, remove a stencil and on and on I played, it was wonderful!!! By the time I had finished I had a huge stack of lovely printed papers, and so many to choose from. I couldn't pick just one so...</div>

</div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Hello all you arty people!!!! It's Kerry with you today and I have a fun background technique to share with you today using Lindy's fabulous <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/embossing-powder">Embossing Powders</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/sprays">Sprays</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="8" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35903" height="527" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/8-2.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For this project you will need some of the Lindy's <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/embossing-powder">embossing powder</a> and a few colors of <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/sprays">sprays</a> or <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-powders">magicals</a> that 'play' nicely together, a cellophane bag (or any piece plastic), a stamp or 2, some embossing ink and some white cardstock! Lets go...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="1(1)" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35896" height="547" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/11-2.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
To start, stamp your white card with embossing ink and sprinkle <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/purely-white?variant=689754079248">Purely white embossing powder</a> over the stamped area and heat set.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="2" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35897" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/2-2.jpg" width="562" /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Next you will need some color. I have chosen <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/sweet-violet-purple-teal?variant=689760141328">Sweet violet purple teal</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/caribbean-blue?variant=689759158288">Caribbean blue </a>and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/tiffanylou-blue?variant=689759879184">TiffanyLou blue</a> sprays. You can use the magicals if you prefer.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="3" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35898" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/3-1.jpg" width="521" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Spray a small amount of each of your chosen colors onto your cellophane bag and allow the colors to intermingle. If you are using magicals, tap a small amount of pigment onto the bag and mist with water. Remember, the magicals are potent, so a tiny bit goes a long way!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="4" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35899" height="379" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/4-2.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Leave the cellophane bag on the desk and pick up your embossed card, spray the card with a good amount of water and place it face down onto the color. The bag will adhere to the card and then you can turn it over. You will be able to manipulate the color through the bag with your fingertips if you have any 'holes' in your color.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="5" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35900" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/5-2.jpg" width="523" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Remove the bag and mop up and excess with a paper towel and then dry off! Voila!!!! Awesome watercolored background in a few seconds :)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="6" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35901" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/6-2.jpg" width="507" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
To embellish my card I have used a little gauze, some lace, flowers and diecut shapes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="7" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35902" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/7-2.jpg" width="588" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
You could make several backgrounds and have them ready to go when you need to make a card. Or use the background to cut some beautiful colored shapes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/9-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="9" border="0" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35904" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/9-1.jpg" width="472" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Lindys Products: <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/sweet-violet-purple-teal?variant=689760141328">Sweet violet purple teal</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/caribbean-blue?variant=689759158288">Caribbean blue</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/tiffanylou-blue?variant=689759879184">TiffanyLou blue</a> sprays, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/purely-white?variant=689754079248">Purely white embossing powder</a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Other Products: White card, Versamark ink, stamps, lace, flowers, gauze, word sticker, brads, pearls and prills.</div>

Its Kerry with you today. Quite often we forget that out products can be used with more than just paper and cardstock. Today I am using the fabulous Lindy's <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/embossing-powder">Embossing Powders</a> on some pebbles. These would make awesome wedding favors or table scatters and you could theme them for birthdays or Christmas really easily.<br />
<br />
<img alt="20180302_201418" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35567" height="595" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/20180302_201418.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
You will only need a few tools for this project. Some stamps, some embossing ink, a heat tool and your favorite Lindy's Embossing powders and , today I am using <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/obviously-black?variant=21646592965">Obviously Black</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/cuckoo-clock-cardinal-ep?variant=39212545168">Cuckoo Clock Cardinal</a>.<br />
<br />
<img alt="8" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35566" height="553" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/8.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Take your stamp and using embossing ink, stamp directly onto the pebble's surface, this is a little hard to see, but the good thing is if you don't get a good impression, you can wipe it off and start again.<br />
<br />
<img alt="7" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35568" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/7.jpg" width="609" /><br />
<br />
Sprinkle the embossing powder over your stamping and if you are happy with your stamped image, heat set the embossing powder with the heat tool. A little word of caution, the pebbles will get hot, so perhaps place them on a cork mat and allow plenty of time for them to cool before handling.<br />
<br />
<img alt="6" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35565" height="568" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/6.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
Once the pebble has cooled, add a second stamp for interest and sprinkle with a different color of embossing powder, and heat set.<br />
<br />
<img alt="5" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35564" height="416" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/5.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<br />
The embossed image will remain a little raised on the surface... soooo cute!<br />
<br />
<img alt="2" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35562" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/2.jpg" width="573" /><br />
<br />
They look great on their own....<br />
<br />

or in a set :)<br />

Hey there! After a few weeks of holidays and getting the kids back to school its time to get back into the craft room for some serious play...errr, I mean work time! Today's project features some of the gorgeous <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/sprays">Lindy's sprays</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/embossing-powder">Embossing powders</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="6" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-34900" height="499" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/6-1.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To start my page, I have selected a couple of Whichcraft stencils and some Distress micro glaze. Its a bit hard to see as the micro glaze is a clear 'creme' but I have applied it to my page through a stencil, this will act as a resist to the sprays.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="1" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-34895" height="553" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/1-1.jpg" width="640" /> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have selected 2 sprays that I think work well together and are 2 of my all time faves, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/tiffanylou-blue?variant=21646194309">TiffanyLou Blue</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/luscious-lime?variant=21646218885">Luscious Lime</a>. Over the stenciled area spray a generous amount of water, then add your chosen colors to reveal the resist area.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="2" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-34896" height="610" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/2-1.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have painted a chipboard star with black gesso making sure my application of the gesso was textured and thick. To the wet gesso I have added <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/morning-glory-azure?variant=21646014021">Morning Glory Azure</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/cleopatras-copper?variant=21645776453">Cleopatra's Copper</a> embossing powders making sure to leave a little of the black showing. Using the heat gun, melt the embossing powder and dry the gesso at the same time for added texture.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="3" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-34897" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/3.jpg" width="545" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Look at that yummy texture :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="8a" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-34902" height="572" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/8a.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Add a little background stamping to the page using archival ink.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="4" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-34898" height="557" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/4-1.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To finish off I have added some black splashes of ink, a word sticker and layered the star onto another piece of Whichcraft chipboard.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="5a" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-34899" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/5a.jpg" width="476" /></div>

Hello Lindy's Tribe! I am thrilled to be back with you for another term with Lindy's! Today's project will feature some of the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-sets">Original Magicals</a>, <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/magical-shakers">Magical Shakers</a> and <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/collections/embossing-powder">Embossing powder</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="7" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-31016" height="628" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/7-2.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To start, I have heat embossed an artistic lotus stamp onto a piece of 300gsm hotpressed watercolor paper using Lindy's awesome <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/caesars-gold?variant=21645768645">Caesar's Gold Embossing Powder</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="1" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-31010" height="605" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/1-3.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then I have mixed my Magicals on a palette with a generous amount of water. Remember that these little pots are potent and you only need a tiny bit of the powder. Today I have chosen Tibetan poppy teal (from the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/autumn-leaves-magical-shimmer-powders?variant=21645995269">Autumn Leaves Magical Set</a>), Luscious Lime (from the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/caribbean-cruise-magical-flat-powders?variant=21646591877">Caribbean Cruise Flat Magical Set</a>) and the <a href="https://www.lindysgang.com/products/guten-tag-teal?variant=38552171792">Guten Tag Teal Magical Shaker</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="2" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-31011" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/2-3.jpg" width="627" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have used a 'wet on wet' technique to add color to the lotus, this simply means I have added water to the paper first to wet the surface, then I am adding the color to the wet paper, hence the term 'wet on wet'.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="3" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-31012" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/3-3.jpg" width="562" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You can see below that the color mixes with the water that was placed down on the paper first, this allows us to easily remove some of the color from the paper and we get a really soft light color as the result. You can use a little paper towel to absorb some of the water and color back up from the paper or dry off your brush on the paper towel and use the brush to absorb the color back up. For these background leaves I have used the lightest color, Luscious Lime.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="4" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-31013" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/4-2.jpg" width="596" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the leaves in the foreground, I have used the darkest color on the bottom, which was a mix of both the Tibetan Poppy Teal and the Guten Tag Teal, and the top of the leaves is coloured using the Luscious Lime. I have a generous puddle of water on the leaf for the colors to mix and bleed into each other. The embossing powder acts as a bit of a well, keeping the water inside the leaf shape.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="5" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-31014" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/5-3.jpg" width="593" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once I am happy with the gradient from light to dark, I absorb up the excess water and dry off with the heat tool, And using a very water laden brush, drag a very little amount of the color underneath the lotus to give some shadowing effect.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="6" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-31015" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/6-3.jpg" width="603" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To finish off, flick a small amount of the color above the lotus and add some sequins, enamel accents and glitter and mount onto some black card.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="8" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-31017" height="640" src="https://lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/8-1.jpg" width="636" /></div>
