You Inspire Me card for Lindy's Stamp Gang.

Hello. Its my turn on the Lindy's blog again and this time I am sharing a card created with the new Lindy's Magical Shakers.  You could easily change up the sentiment to make is suitable for any occasion. Have a look and see how I've used the gorgeous Lindy's Midnight Gold embossing powder and my new favorite 'toy', the Magical Shakers!

To start, I have embossed some watercolor paper with a 'Rings' stamp, sprinkled the Midnight Gold embossing powder over the top and heat set it.  Then I have randomly sprinkled the Magical shakers in Yodeling Yellow, Guten Tag Teal and Lederhosen Laurel and activated them with water, then I have thoroughly dried the paper.

To add a little more variance to my page I activated a small amount of the Bavarian Blue Magical Shaker with water and using a small brush I have painted some of the smaller circles.inspire-2
After adding a few white splashes and drying completely I then took some circle punches and randomly punched out 3 different sized circles.

Using Black Archival Ink, I have inked the edges of each of the circles.

Taking another piece of watercolor paper I have added some random background stamping with Archival ink.

Using a stencil and some 3D Matte Gel add some texture to the card and dry thoroughly.

After the gel is dry, spray the card with a generous amount of water and sprinkle Yodeling Yellow and Oktoberfest Orange Magical Shakers onto the card.  Let the color move and mix on the surface and add a little more water if needed.  Once you are happy with the look, dry again thoroughly.

Now we can start adding our punched circles.  Lay them on top of the card and move them around until you are happy with the placement, then adhere them to the card base.

I have painted the 'Inspire' chipboard word with Black Soot Distress Paint and added some letter stickers to complete my sentiment.  I then mounted the base onto some black cardstock and VOILA, all done :)20170201_224309
Here are a few close-ups so you can see the color.

Magical Art Journal - for Lindy's Stamp Gang

Hello!!! Kerry here and I am so excited to share my first ' Lindy's' project with you! I made a fabulous Art Journal using Lindy's Magicals ! These powerful little pots of pigment are so versatile and the color combinations are endless.

The base of the cover was prepared with gesso. I added some paper strips, washi tape, fabric strips, lace, stamping and gauze to give lots of different texture.

Once this was dry I added Lindy's Magicals in:
Yellow Rose of Texas
 Lucky Shamrock Green
Tibetan Poppy Teal
Hydranger Blue
 Prima Donna Purple
 Sweet Violet Purple Teal

I colored the chipboard frame and flowers with the same colors using a paint brush and I added some crystals and gems for a little extra bling.

The additional fabric and lace dangles were also colored using the same Magicals.

The cover has a lovely sparkle that is hard to capture in pictures, but I promise it's there. This greenish blue shine on the 'wish' tile (seen below) was achieved using:
Royal Peacock Fire Glitz Spritz.

Each of the pages inside (300gsm watercolor paper) were colored with a mix of two of the Magicals used on the cover. The whimsical watercolor effects are different every time.

I have embellished each page with stamping, doodling, fabric, stickers and a few gems for a bit of sparkle.
