Hello!!! Today I am sharing another Colour Blast Design team project.

I am back again with another card design and once again I couldn't decide which colour I wanted to use, so I have made three cards :)  There is a process video at the end of this post which will take you step by step through the making of the card!

One of my favorite things about the pastes is their consistency and how easily they spread through a stencil and how wonderfully well they blend together giving some great effects.  I particularly like the one below using Deep Water and Bling pastes.  The shimmer really brightens and shines as it dries to a really vibrant colour.

This one was created using the colours Steel and Singin' the Blues.

And finally Rose Petal and Bling.  My favorite colour paste seems to change depending on the project I am doing, but I am in love with the Bling and Deep Water this week!

Valentines Card - Colour Blast Design Team Project

Hello and Happy Valentines Day!!
I cant tell you how excited I am to share my first post  as a Design Team member for Colour Blast!

I thought with it being Valentines Day, I would share with you a card tutorial that is quick and easy so you still have time make one for that special someone.  I couldn't decide which colour I wanted to make it in as all the colours are so yummy, so I made a couple of variations.

There is a process video tutorial at the bottom of this post!

Here is a close up of the embossed and stamped Whichcraft heart.  This technique gives some great texture!

For this design, I have used the Snow White paste through a stencil, then once dry,  I sprayed over the paste with Deep Water shimmer spray. I dabbed the sprayed area with a baby wipe to leave behind a subtle shimmer.  It is quite difficult to capture this shimmer with the camera, but it is very shimmery.  I used the coordinating Embossing Powder on the heart, and Dusty Charcoal Embossing Powder on the heart 'frame'.

This one was done in the same way using Rose Petal spray and embossing powder.

This one I did a little differently using the Bling paste through the stencil and coordinating Embossing Powder on the heart.

Here is a process video tutorial.

Make A Wish

After finishing the last painting I couldn't wait to start another. I started in the same way as before, a little bit of colour and after my sister and I created a bunch of new Whichcraft stencils, I wanted to see how they looked on the canvas!

After adding the stencils and a little more colour it was time to add the colour wash.

I thought the picture would remain in this orientation, but I ended up changing it.  One of the things I really love about this technique is that you never really know how it will be when it is finished.  I had a completely different idea for this canvas, but when I turned it on its side I could see that it was going to be something else, so I just went with it!  And here is the finished result!

Thanks for dropping by and may all your wishes come true :)
